Dr. Sandra Lee, also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, has recently uploaded a video of an 85-year-old woman who has developed a gigantic blackhead on her upper back.
The woman, accompanied by her daughter, visited the doctor to have her leg biopsied. The woman’s daughter brought the doctor’s attention to the massive blackhead on her mother’s back.
According to the dermatologist, the blackhead has been growing on her back for years. Nevertheless, no matter how deeply embedded the blackhead is, Dr. Lee manages to extract it without much difficulty.
The dermatologist injects a numbing agent into the woman’s back in order to prevent her from feeling any pain while the blackhead is being removed.
Then, she extracts it by using a pair of tweezers. After undergoing the procedure, the woman refuses to see the enormous thing removed from her back. For a long time, she believed that it was just a mole.
This blackhead is called a dilated pore of Winer. Even though it is benign, its removal has left a hole on the woman’s back.
In this video, Dr. Lee explains that the empty space caused by the dilated pore will shrink, but it won’t completely go away, so she suggests placing a couple of stitches to replace the hole with a fine line scar.
